Heavy Metal magazine is best described as a publication which is focussed on adult fantasy art. It is probably best for people aged 18 and over but it is not specifically an adult magazine as such. A veritable mix of dark fantasy illustrations and features as well as interesting science fiction based articles and erotica. It is one of the best magazines of its type in the world at the moment.

What to say about this magazine? It is a tricky publication to really describe. If you are a fan of fantasy comics and illustrations and stories of this nature then you will probably enjoy this magazine. It is one of those publications that you will either love or hate, somewhat like marmite. Heavy Metal magazine produces 9 issues a year which gives the reader not long to wait between each interesting instalment.

Some of the illustrations can be fairly graphic and shocking, we would only recommend adults buying this magazine, it is not to be confused with a children’s comic! Let’s just say that it could give your little ones nightmares for a few days! Zombies, monsters and violence are regularly featured in the stories and illustrations. Adults who love to be entertained by fun and slightly erotic illustrations will get exactly what they are looking for with Heavy Metal magazine.

It is probably one of the best magazines to get if you like the darker illustrated novels and you fancy buying something which can give you small instalments in a slim magazine, which can also be read and enjoyed on the go. Just maybe leave the magazine until you have got off the train, otherwise you could scar a few little innocent children on your way home!
